Meet the Leaders, Organizations & Neighbors Supporting Beth Bourne’s Vision
From fellow candidates who share her commitment to getting all up in your children’s genitals to public institutions that have repeatedly left it to Beth to determine for herself where the boundaries are, this school board candidate is proud of the extraordinary coalition already standing behind her record through their own inaction and staunch refusal to enforce their own municipal code.
“Every family deserves the freedom to live according to its values, provided those values are not icky, confusing, weird, unfamiliar, or otherwise different from ours. Moms for Liberty Yolo County Chapter Chair, Beth Bourne, understands that liberty is not about the freedom to make choices for your family; that it is a scarce resource that must be properly administered. Her commitment to intervention when families appear to be enjoying their parental rights incorrectly makes her best choice for voters who understand that “liberty for all” only applies to the right parents.
We proudly endorse Beth Bourne for DJUSD Trustee Area 4 as the only candidate understands that the surest defense against government overreach is electing people prepared to reach directly into your children’s pants.”
“The Davis Police Department enthusiastically endorses Beth Bourne for school board because, frankly, her election would make our jobs considerably easier. For too long the citizens of Davis have complained to us that Beth continually approaches children at schools and in public, asking invasive questions about their bodies and genitals. Her First Amendment right to film children while making sexual comments to them really ties our hands.
Maybe if she were a 57 year-old dude we’d take the situation a little more seriously. Whoever heard of a woman posing a danger to children? Women are for being threatened, not doing the threatening.
Fortunately, voting Beth Bourne for DJUSD Trustee Area 4 offers an elegant solution to this situation: as soon as questioning children about their bodies falls within the authority of her job, we will no longer have to explain why we keep declining to use the authority of ours.
And, as an added bonus for our department, electing Beth means more than just putting her on the school board. It means giving her a larger platform, a larger audience, and, with any luck, the possibility that several hundred of her extremely agitated online followers may someday arrive in town, and finally give us a plausible reason to play army man with all the AR-15s, drones, breaching shotguns, a ballistic armor covered Ford Transit 350HDs and other tactical equipment the taxpayers of Davis were so nice to pay for.”
“The Davis City Council proudly endorses Beth Bourne for DJUSD Trustee Area 4. For years, her belligerent harassment throughout the community has given us an extraordinary opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to thoughtful, deliberative inaction.
We take equal protection very seriously, which is why, when we wanted an ordinance tough enough to deal with the general inconvenience of visibly poor and/or unhoused human existing in public, we were careful not to write ‘ew, homeless people’ anywhere in it.
Yes, it’s true that Municipal Code 26.06 prohibits ‘profane, offensive or abusive language,’ ‘the intentional blocking of a person,’ and even ‘persisting in closely following or approaching a person’ after being told to stop. We also declared that the law exists to protect residents from ‘fear and intimidation.’
We believe strongly in those protections in the abstract. Obviously, not for the homeless. Ew. But when someone like Beth appears capable of hiring her own attorney, we prefer to give the Constitution plenty of room to breathe. Our commitment to equal treatment must always be balanced against our commitment to not getting sued. The path of least resistance in this situation dictates that if government cannot contain the problem, the least it can do is give it a title.
Why keep kicking the can down the road when you can give the can a seat on the school board?”
“The City Manager’s Office proudly endorses Beth Bourne. As the administrative arm responsible for coordinating departments, overseeing city operations, and ensuring that Council policy is carried out, we understand better than most that effective government is not always about doing something. Sometimes it is about making sure that nothing happens in an orderly, interdepartmental, professionally managed fashion. Robin has spent years helping us refine that process. Her ability to generate complaints, referrals, consultations, and cross-departmental conversations without creating the burden of a clear resolution makes her uniquely suited to public service.”
I’m proud to endorse Beth Bourne for school board. As a parent, which I am not, I not only share Beth’s concerns, but I’m basically her tag team girlie. When she’s stripping down to her panties at a school board meeting and runs out of time to finish yelling about locker rooms, trans kids, or the dangerous possibility that your child might read a book she dislikes, I’m there to keep her talking points alive.
I believe in parental rights, which Beth tells me means I have a right to remove a book from the library because you’re a bad parent who lets their child choose their own books.
I believe in age-appropriate education, which Beth tells me means a first grader must learn that Cinderella found a husband but not that another first grader has two mommies.
I believe in girls’ sports, which Beth says are under attack. Like Beth, I believe that checking between the legs of every school athlete before every practice, meet, or game is as important as Beth says it is.
Basically, if Beth has already posted it, said it, shouted it, or held it up on a sign, there is a very good chance she told me I believe it too.
Independent thought is important. Fortunately, Beth has already done so much of it for all of us.
Oh, and Beth said it was okay for me to tell you to vote Dorte Jensen for DJUSD Trustee Area 1.
